Mr. Thomas working on the engine.

The engine started with a crankcase assembly
procedure that uses a SCAT
crankshaft of 80mm stroke and piston bore size of
103mm. 
pistons/cylinders.

The deflector plates under the cylinders were
modified and reshaped so that the cooling air can go
around and through each and every single cooling fin
on the cylinder heads.

Here you see the notching done on the piston
crowns.

A 6-studs per cylinder modification was done to
handle the high combustion pressures.

Here you see the amount of welding on the
intake manifolds and the heads so that the ports are
enlarged to 48mm. They have been match-ported.

Here you see a stock sized Type 4 cylinder head
intake port compared to the modified manifold

The sparkplug opening had to be relocated in
order to make room for the valves. They are also
reduced to the smaller 12mm plugs for the same reason.

This was an annual event in JB, Malaysia.
Mr. Thomas car was in front of the lot.

It's a beach buggy. The engine and chassis
is a VW beetle. The chassis is shortened wheelbase so
that it looks cute.
