The S&R
Engineering "I-VAC" Ignition Amplifier is designed for any vehicle
utilizing stock inductive ignition (both distributor and distributor
less). It has been designed and engineered for ultra high
performance racing conditions and will provide significantly more
power to the spark plugs.
The unit installs inline with the positive side of
the coil(s) and “boosts” the input voltage all the way to 20 volts !
This translates into increased spark energy regardless if it’s mated
to a stock or aftermarket inductive ignition system. Also, the need
for and expense of multiple ignition boxes in multi-coil
applications is eliminated as Power Packs are designed to work with
single or multiple coils and CDI System. the "I-VAC" output remains at or near 20 volts (It
is possible to set Voltage every 0.01voltage , from 12.5v to
60v,)and up to 40 amps even when the input voltage dips below 12
volts making it ideal for even racing applications where no
alternator is used.

Amplifier System.
High revving, high-compression and turbocharged engines all require a great
deal of spark energy from the ignition system to run properly. The higher the
boost, the more spark energy required to fire the spark plugs to complete
combustion. The S&R ENGINEERING "I-VAC" is an ideal upgrade for anyone who wants
a compact and cost-effective way to maximize the performance of their vehicle’s
ignition system.
The "I-VAC" ignition amplifier incorporates both the CDI and transistor
method ignition to provide optimum spark duration and maximum voltage output,
resulting in crisper throttle response and a smoother engine powerband
The "I-VAC" integrates Capacity Discharge Ignition (CDI) and transistor
ignition technology to offer improved throttle response and smoother engine
performance by providing optimal spark duration and maximum voltage output. The
CDI technology provides maximum voltage by transferring all stored energy in the
capacitor to the ignition coil so the ignition current can build quickly, making
the "I-VAC" very effective at higher revs where a normal spark would
diminish.
The strong,rapid spark prevents high rpm ignition miss that reduces peak power.
The transistorized method generates high voltage by using transistors to cut off
current to the coil, allowing a long energy discharge. This longer spark
duration allows the improve lower RPM throttle response and torque. The
"I-VAC" produces a spark output that is typically 3.0-4.5 stronger than a stock
ignition system and consumes about 50% less power than other ignition
amplifiers.
