SEPANG: Australian Brent
Odgers, the overall winner of the Open Superbike title
in 2003, scored a double by winning Race 1 and Race 2 in
the first round of the Malaysian Super Series at the
Sepang F1 Circuit (north track) yesterday.
Pole-sitter Odgers took the Race I chequered flag
with a time of 17:24.404 on his Honda CBR1000. Jussi
Hoikka of Japan finished second with a time of 17:29.044
while Malaysia’s Omar Ali Abdullah was third
(17:34.068).
Odgers again dominated Race 2 while Omar finished
second, ahead of Hoikka.
The second of the five-round season will be held from
June 9-10 at the same venue
